Acterna Selected by European Carrier to Provide Broadband Access Test Solution13 May 2005
Acterna, the leader in test and management solutions for consumer and business broadband communications, today announced it was recently selected by a leading European broadband provider to enable the cost-effective and reliable delivery of DSL broadband services. Acterna will supply NetComplete(TM) xDSL testing hardware and software via the unique, patented technology in its QT200 DSL Test Head and scalable architecture of NetAnalyst(TM) NGT(TM) Test Management Software (which includes centralized QT-EMS and Test OSS functionality). Part of Acterna's Service Assurance Solutions division, Acterna's NetComplete xDSL test solution supports more than five million DSL lines throughout Europe, far eclipsing competitive offerings.
Acterna will be displaying NetComplete Service Assurance Solutions at SuperComm 2005, booth #43021, June 7-9.
The Acterna xDSL test solution is engineered to enable more efficient customer call management as well as operations and maintenance for network operators, saving days in mean-time-to-repair (MTTR) and lowering the total number of dispatches by decreasing the need for visits to co-located exchanges and end-user locations to identify faults. In addition, the QT-200 helps increase the service provider's top line by helping them cost-effectively deploy triple-play services, contain operating expenses to maximize bottom line growth and deliver a satisfactory end-user experience.
