Active Air Networks Wisconsin Launches New Broadband and Wireless Networks in Wisconsin23 July 2005
Active Air Networks Wisconsin will begin delivering high speed broadband and wireless technologies to consumers and business users throughout Wisconsin communities. Active Air Networks Wisconsin has secured substantial private funds from individual investors to begin building out networks to assist with economic development through deployment of citywide wireless technologies including broadband point to point, point to multipoint and 802.11 a/b/g Wi-Fi standards. In launching these technologies in rural villages and towns, Active Air Networks Wisconsin will be able to provide broadband services to homes and businesses as well as provide wireless access throughout entire communities.
Active Air Networks Wisconsin will work jointly with Broadband Network Services to engineer and build wireless broadband solutions. Active Air Networks Wisconsin will comply with Wi-Fi Forum Standards utilizing Proxim and Redline wireless broadband software. Both wireless network build out and software providers offer high reliability and exceptional performance in wireless connectivity. The equipment installation consists of small antennas and related equipment, far less intrusive than cellular equipment, and maintains the aesthetic quality of local architecture.
The service will bring high speed Internet services where users want it most; at home, at work, and at play. Active Air Networks Wisconsin is poised to be a low cost alternative to DSL, so that customers no longer have to be dependent on proximity to cable or DSL availability in their area. The service is mobile, yet high speed at 1 to 3 mega bits per second. Businesses can benefit by having more broadband choices, employees can increase productivity by being wireless, and service businesses can take advantage of mobile networks.
