Active Control Technology appoints wireless & network expert Miro Forest as Senior Technical Advisor25 October 2006
Active Control Technology Inc. (TSX-V:ACT) today announced the appointment of Miro Forest, P. Eng., as Senior Technical Advisor to the company.
Mr. Forest will oversee ACT's wireless technology architecture, leveraging more than 30 years of practical and management experience in the telecommunications and networking industries. He is a respected global leader in wireline and wireless networks who has developed systems and provided regulatory guidance at Bell Canada, Sprint Canada and many other telecom and wireless providers, in addition to serving the industry as a consultant. Miro is the founder of the Waterloo Data Fortress Inc., a leading off-site back-up ASP. He is a Senior Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE), and founding President of the IEEE Canadian Foundation.
"Miro Forest's expertise in telecom, data and computer networks will add enormous value to the design and roll-out of ACT's CLiK64(TM) wireless access control systems and ACT's ActiveMine(TM) underground mine communication and locating systems," said ACT President & CEO Steve Barrett.
