Cellit Mobile Marketing Donates Text Messaging Services to AIDS Walk Los Angeles

CHICAGO (PRWEB via PRWeb) October 26, 2006 -- Cellit, LLC announced today its recent donation of services to AIDS Walk Los Angeles. Cellit provided mobile marketing services to the AIDS Walk event, which was held on Sunday October 15, 2006.

Using Cellit's technology, the AIDS Walk was able increase awareness of the event. By texting the AIDS Walk's selected keyword, "WALK," to a special 5-digit phone number included in advertisements, individuals interested in participating could obtain additional event information concerning the registration process. AIDS Walk included the "Text WALK to 30364" language in traditional print ads, as well as on the backs of busses and other alternative advertising.

Mobile marketing is a growing trend in the advertising industry. According to the Mobile Marketing Association, over 8 billion text messages are sent every month in the United States. With more than a third of the 180 million mobile phone subscribers using data services, AIDS Walk sees a growing trend and understands the importance of distributing information directly to the customer's cell phone.
