China Telecom USA today announced it is co-hosting, along with the Greater Washington Board of Trade, a luncheon seminar, "Doing Business in China 2005." This seminar, to be held on Thursday, January 27, in Washington, DC, will examine the current market and identify opportunities, explain how companies can take advantage of these opportunities and provide critical contacts for those ready to pursue business in China. The seminar will feature senior executives from Xybernaut, UTStarcom and Interliance and Deloitte & Touche, LLP. China Telecom USA, in announcing its collaboration on this seminar, launches a new initiative aimed at assisting North American companies interested in expanding business operations into China. The service, "Customer First, Service Foremost," offers assistance in the form of a U.S.- based staff providing U.S. based contracts, a robust network that reaches into every province of China and a 24 x 7 bi-lingual customer service center. The company has also redesigned its web site, http://www.chinatelecomusa.com, to better reflect its practice of providing world-class customer support with value-added services that go beyond the traditional telecommunications offerings to ensure business success.
"China is the fastest growing economy with numerous opportunities opening up to U.S. businesses every day," said Weihua Zhang, President of China Telecom USA. "A company can capitalize on these opportunities only if it has strong business acumen and solid relationships within the country. China Telecom USA, its parent company and its business partners, have the know-how and the relationships throughout Asia that can provide the tools and knowledge to U.S. enterprises. China Telecom USA is the single point of contact into all 31 provinces in China." Zhang continued, "China Telecom USA decided to co-host this seminar to introduce Washington area executives to the challenges as well as the opportunities that exist in China."
