Citizens Communications Invests $1 Million in Juice Wireless, Inc.7 July 2006
Juice Wireless(tm) Inc., the award-winning market leader in mobile data applications, services and products, today announced that it has secured a $1 million strategic investment from leading Fortune 1000 company, Citizens Communications Company(tm) (NYSE:CZN), a full-service communications provider offering telephone, television and Internet products and services in rural areas and small and medium-sized towns and cities around the US under the name Frontier Communications Solutions.
Juice Wireless will tap this new financing to support further development and sales of Juice Wireless' existing line of leading-edge mobile data applications and services. Additionally, monies will be used to accelerate sales and marketing efforts for its latest critically acclaimed product, the JuiceCaster(tm) (www.juicecaster.com).
Launched initially in beta to a limited and controlled user base earlier this year, Juice released its JuiceCaster(tm) 2.0 product to rave reviews at this year's CTIA conference in Las Vegas in April. The JuiceCaster is the first-ever, truly cross-platform, device-agnostic solution for multimedia content creation, sharing and social networking for all types of content, available on the market today. The JuiceCaster enables consumers and businesses to quickly and easily create, distribute, search and access any kind of content -- text, images, audio and video -- from digital devices anytime, anywhere using PCs and mobile phones. JuiceCaster 3.0, expected later this summer, will add support for iPods(r), set-top boxes, PSPs, MP3 players and most other IP-enabled digital devices, including digital cameras and camcorders. Earlier this month Juice announced a marketing relationship for JuiceCaster with handset company, Kyocera.
In addition to the investment, Juice and Citizens will work closely together to sell and distribute Juice's innovative and award-winning products and services.
