Ericsson Mobile Softswitch selected by Sun Cellular16 February 2006
Implementation of the turnkey contract, which includes the supply,delivery and deployment of equipment and solutions, is scheduledtobe completed by the first quarter of 2006. Upon completion, itwillincrease Sun Cellular's network capacity, performance and coveragetomeet subscriber growth and demand for the operator's services intheareas.
Ericsson Mobile Softswitch is the first efficient step towards aconverged all-IP core network. By complementing the MobileSoftswitch and IP Infrastructure with a standardized serviceenvironment, Sun Celullar will be able to offer a wide range ofnewand differentiating multimedia services.
