Internap, the market leader in providing intelligent route-control solutions, will benefit from FiberNet's long haul and metro end- to-end network infrastructure. Businesses around the globe depend on Internap for secure and seamless deployment of business-critical applications over the Web. To better serve its fast growing customer base, Internap needed a data services provider who not only had a physically diverse network but could also address its scalability demands. FiberNet met Internap's requirements for a fully-redundant data service that would support its business-critical applications with highly scalable Metro Ethernet services. FiberNet's Metro Ethernet Transport translates into rapid and reliable access to bandwidth, contributing towards Internap's goal of bringing reliability, performance and security to the Internet. "The service provided by FiberNet not only reaffirms their vast knowledge of the metropolitan Ethernet market, but also their ability to use that knowledge to provide our customers the best solutions possible," said Jim DeBlasio, President & CEO of Internap. "Whenever we can strengthen Internap's access solutions, it improves our customers' ability to maintain a competitive advantage and creates a win-win situation for everyone." FiberNet's custom-designed suite of Metro Ethernet services for Internap will include both switched and dedicated forms of Ethernet connections. With one port on FiberNet's Ethernet Network, VLAN virtual circuits can be configured to create point-to-point or multipoint-to-multipoint connections for hub, VLAN or VPN networks. "We are excited about this opportunity to add value to Internap's business and quality of service," said Jon A. DeLuca, President and CEO, FiberNet. "FiberNet's custom-designed solutions combined with technical expertise and highly responsive teams will enhance Internap's business continuity and sustain the competitive edge they have established in the industry."
