Glenayre to Demonstrate the Power of Interactive Mobile Video Communications at CommunicAsia 20061 June 2006
Glenayre Messaging, a division of Glenayre Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq: GEMS) and a global leader in providing next-generation messaging solutions and enhanced services, will demonstrate its innovative messaging capability, Versera(R) Active Messaging, to the Asia market for the first time at the CommunicAsia exhibition in Singapore, June 20-23, 2006. (Glenayre stand 4E3-01).
Versera Active Messaging will enable personalized, interactive services and promotional offers to be sent directly to a mobile subscriber. This patent pending technology will allow operators to launch a large number of highly-targeted and personalized 2G and 3G services and offers without ever having to modify their messaging system, as the multimedia application logic is embedded right in the message.
With this technology, operators will be able to quickly create compelling campaigns either in house or with solution partners, without the traditional costs and delays associated with making changes to a messaging system. Versera Active Messaging is another example of the innovative solutions made possible by Versera Intelligent Communications Environment, Versera ICE(TM), Glenayre's next generation messaging solution architected in Java and Voice XML.

In addition to Active Messaging, Glenayre will be demonstrating its expanded Versera Video Mail and Video Portal products. Versera Video Portal will give carriers the ability to offer a powerful multimedia content and commerce distribution engine. The design of the portal has been updated to provide more category options and to further enhance the ease of use for subscribers. Glenayre will also show how their on-line subscriber portal, Versera My Services, and message delivery to e-mail service, Versera MessageMe, can be used to improve the subscriber experience and provide a unified approach to messaging. Visitors will be able to see how the technology can be used for offers such as music video downloads and ringtones as well as subscription services such as a video dating service.
