IABC/Detroit Announces the 2006 Renaissance Award Winners30 June 2006
The Detroit Chapter of the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC/Detroit) today announced the winners of the 25th Annual Renaissance Awards, presented by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Michigan.
IABC/Detroit awarded the 2006 President's Award, which recognizes excellence in Communication Management, to Franco Public Relations Group and The Salvation Army for their fundraising communications program "Generosity Rings True for Salvation Army Red Kettle Drive."
The 2006 Best of Show winners in the Writing category are Blue Care Network of Michigan for its Blue Care Network Professional Services Manual and Manardo Communications for a technical article titled "Lean Accounting is Integral to Overall Lean Effort."
In the Art and Design category, IABC/Detroit awarded the Best of Show to Skidmore Inc., for the Akino Press Kit. Wayne State University Alumni Association and JCI Design won the Print Communications category with the Wayne State Magazine entry.
IABC/Detroit awarded the Best of Show for Direct Mail/Advertising to Allegra Network for its LeadSmart Direct Mail Program and the Henkel Corp. won Best of Show in Communication Technology for the Henkel North American Automotive Web Site.
The IABC/Detroit Renaissance Awards is the area's premier awards program, recognizing best practices in communication management, marketing, public relations, writing and art and design. The awards program celebrated 25 years this year and more than 280 metro Detroit business communicators attended the ceremonies at the VisTaTech Center in Livonia.
