Jaxara's Project Collaboration Primer Integrates Vonage and Skype Among other VoIP Platforms9 February 2006
Jaxara has announced that its heavily anticipated Project Collaboration Primer (PCP) now integrates seamlessly, "off-the-shelf", with Vonage and Skype VoIP platforms. Jaxara's primers have been developed using a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and have an open API.
The Project Collaboration Primer is licensed using the On Demand or Software as a Service (SaaS) model made famous by Salesforce.com. This model allows customers to get up and running with little to no upfront infrastructure costs as they simply pay per user per month. Further, if additional add-ons or integration is needed the customer can choose between paying a fixed price or bundling the price into their monthly charge and allowing Jaxara to re-use the work for other customers.
The Project Collaboration Primer is the crown jewel of Jaxara's Primer line of solutions.
Some "Out of the Box" features include:
- Requirements management with threaded, bbs-style discussion ability.
- A threaded log of all email, IM, and phone communication complete with recordings and transcripts.
- The ability to mock-up visuals or static prototypes.
- The ability to load a "Process Dictionary" XML file, which automatically configures the PCP to follow your company's processes -- Six Sigma, RUP, XP dictionaries are pre-developed and available with subscription.
- Desktop sharing.
- Document sharing with version control.
- A project metrics dashboard.
- Calendar sharing with the ability to request meetings.
- Issue tracking.
- Time tracking w/ Accounting system A/R integration.
- Integration with MS Live Communications Server.

The integration of Vonage and Skype VoIP is the first step in an initiative for Jaxara to integrate every major VoIP, hosted PBX and enterprise voice platform with its Project Collaboration Platform. This integration will truly allow customers to initiate, receive, search and archive all communication while collaborating on any type of project.
