Leading Nordic and Baltic Telecommunications Company to Use Axiom Systems and Wipro for All New Next Generation Services11 January 2006
Axiom Systems and Wipro today announced that the leading telecommunications company in the Nordic and Baltic countries, TeliaSonera, have extended their investment in the AXIOSS(R) Suite, choosing it for the roll out of Layer 2 and Layer 3 IPVPN services. The project will also incorporate the provision of Carrier Ethernet services. Implemented by Wipro Technologies, the Global IT Services arm of Wipro, this global framework agreement will enable TeliaSonera, to use AXIOSS to roll out thousands of IPVPN sites and to design, create and deliver multiple revenue generating broadband services, including IPTV and VoIP, across Sweden, Finland and Denmark. The success of existing projects within Telia Sonera, where AXIOSS is already used for the provision of PSTN, Cross Domain Management and DSL services, means that this advanced component based platform has become the first choice, not only for the Swedish Operator, but also for some of Europe's most well know telecoms brands including TDC, Telekom Austria and NTL.
