Mobile Text Promotions That Hit the Sweet-Spot for UK's Clubbers, Pubbers and Socialisers Revealed

For years clubs, pubs and bars have used direct marketing as a means to attract customers and engender loyalty. Traditional forms of direct marketing are deemed successful if they generate one or two percent response.

However today, due to the explosive growth and popularity of mobile phones, there is a new and significantly more effective means of communicating directly with consumers - Text Message Marketing. You can buy lists of supposed "opt-in" numbers. Not only can these third-party lists be extremely expensive, the quality of these is often difficult to ascertain before you use them. The best option, by a country mile, is to build your own list and, according to Dynmark, this is much easier than you may think. With the list quality assured, response rates should dwarf bought-in lists and you can develop a meaningful ongoing relationship utilising what has become, to most of us, an extremely personal item.

For £20 per month, Dynmark will rent what's termed in the trade by Vodafone as a "Big Mobile" number. The unique feature with these Big Mobile numbers is that they are not connected to a SIM in a mobile phone or data card. These numbers are connected directly to the e-txt application and so are capable of receiving large quantities of text messages. Every time some one sends you a text their details are captured by e-txt for later use.

Many e-txt users have started printing their Big Mobile number on flyers, on posters and even on the staff uniforms. Customers are asked if they would like to receive information on promotions and offers, or are invited to take part in competitions and prize draws by sending a text message.
