PeopleSupport Names George Hines as Chief Information Officer

LOS ANGELES, Jan. 3 -- PeopleSupport, Inc. (Nasdaq: PSPT), a leading offshore business process outsourcing (BPO) provider that offers customer management, accounts receivable management and back office services from its facilities in the Philippines, today announced that George Hines, former Executive Vice President, Operations and Chief Technology Officer for ChaseCom, has been named to the position of Chief Information Officer (CIO). In that role, Mr. Hines will serve as a key member of PeopleSupport's executive team and will assist in the development of the company's technical and overall business strategy.

Mr. Hines will manage PeopleSupport's global technology infrastructure and support processes including telecommunications and data networks, data centers, applications development and management, software engineering, as well as consulting services. He will report directly to PeopleSupport Chairman and CEO Lance Rosenzweig.

Prior to joining PeopleSupport, Mr. Hines served as ChaseCom's Executive Vice President of Operations and CTO, where he was responsible for the company's network, telephony and call center systems in the United States and offshore. Mr. Hines has over 13 years of experience in technology strategy, implementation and management. Prior to joining ChaseCom, Mr. Hines had a distinguished career with top consulting firms, Deloitte Consulting, LLP, Ernst & Young, LLP, and Cap Gemini America, focusing on the telecommunication industry and working with Fortune 500 clients. Mr. Hines led technology implementations for contact centers in North and South America, and has deep telecommunications and networking experience.

George holds a Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems from Millikin University in Decatur, IL.
