PLC Network Solutions Gains Access to South Asian Market Through Dancom Pakistan (Pvt.) Ltd.23 November 2005
Trimax Corporation, (OTC BB: TMXO) through its
wholly owned subsidiary, PLC Network Solutions Inc. ("PLC"), announced that
it has secured a LOI with a leading ISP and IT solutions provider in South
Asia, Dancom Pakistan (Pvt.) Ltd, with offices across Pakistan and
Malaysia. Dancom has many synergies with PLC's business and will install
the next-generation 205mbps Broadband over Powerline (BPL) devices for new
subscribers as well as upgrade existing customers. PLC Network Solutions
views the Dancom partnership as a key relationship assisting it in gaining
access to the Pacific Rim markets. Dancom is recognized as one of South
Asia's fastest growing telecom service providers.
Internet penetration has grown in Pakistan to approximately 3% of its 160
million population. General Pervez Musharraf and Prime Minister Aziz have
pursued an aggressive IT policy, aimed at boosting Pakistan's drive to set
up a new economy and create an exportable technology industry. In order to
create competition and lower tariffs, the telecom sector has been
deregulated. Prime Minister Aziz holds many Fortune 500 relationships
through his past job as the No. 3 in-charge at Citibank. Many U.S. firms
such as Amazon and Wal-Mart are bypassing India to take advantage of lower
costs by setting up in Pakistan. Firms are realizing they can save 30% for
IT work with access to a substantial pool of English speaking computer
