Push to Start the Holiday Season with the Feature-packed Nokia 6133 Handset24 November 2006
Nokia and Rogers Wireless today announced the Canadian availability of the Nokia 6133 mobile phone. Sleek and stylish and easy to use, the Nokia 6133 handset is the perfect gift for those who need to stay connected. Featuring the latest in mobile technology, including Bluetooth connectivity, the Nokia 6133 proves that good things do come in small packages. The thinnest of the Nokia fold-design handsets, the Nokia 6133 measures just 20 mm and weighs less than 112 grams. With the simple push of a one-touch button that opens the cover, the Nokia 6133 mobile phone allows users to make calls and send text messages. The handset is also equipped with a wireless Internet browser that lets users surf the Internet or download their e-mails. Using the handset's large keypad for dialing and text messaging, it's easy to send a text message with one hand while carrying holiday shopping with the other. The Nokia 6133 handset also features a large 16 million colour display to show off pictures of friends and family. The Nokia 6133 phone's wide array of multimedia features makes it the ideal phone for that special someone who is always stylish and constantly on-the-go. With a video recorder and 1.3 megapixel camera, the Nokia 6133 handset allows for those last-minute, memorable moments to be captured and shared with friends and family across the country. Users can download pictures to their personal computer for easy printing and editing. The handset also has a digital music player supporting MP3 files and a MicroSD card reader that can hold memory cards with up to 1GB of pictures and songs. "Nokia is pleased to be working with Rogers Wireless on the launch of the Nokia 6133," said Paul Chapple, General Manager, Nokia Canada. "As a result of the combination of a sleek form factor and strong feature set, the Nokia 6133 appeals to both design and technology-conscious consumers who are looking to purchase a reasonably priced handset without having to compromise their needs." Nokia Canada is also launching a viral marketing campaign, challenging Canadians to participate in an online game that will let their right hand challenge their left and vice versa. Working with its Canadian advertising agency Lowe Roche, Nokia will launch www.pushtostart.ca to highlight the Nokia 6133's simple one-touch button. Consumers can visit the site to learn about the evolution of hands and what will happen now that only one is needed to open their mobile phone. The pushtostart.ca website will launch on December 1st with online and broadcast advertising to follow. The Nokia 6133 phone sells for $99.99 with a 3-year service agreement from Rogers Wireless and is available for purchase across Canada through Rogers Wireless dealers, and retail points of sale, or online at www.rogers.com. Consumers can also visit www.pushtostart.ca for more information. About Nokia Nokia is a world leader in mobile communications, driving the growth and sustainability of the broader mobility industry.
