Redknee Short Listed for GSM Association's Best Service Delivery Platform Award4 February 2006
Redknee Inc., a leading provider of innovative infrastructure software that monetises and personalises services and content for mobile users, today announced it has been named to the shortlist of nominees for the GSM Association's (GSMA) 2006 Award in the Best Service Delivery Platform category. The Best New Service Delivery Platform award recognizes the contributions that software application developers and Value Added Service providers make to enhancing the service delivery environment and attracting new mobile users. Redknee joins Amdocs, Microsoft, Motorola and Motricity as category finalists. Redknee's mCommerce Gateway (MCG) was selected for its ability to transform a network operator from a utility provider into a mobile retailer. MCG provides mobile operators with a strategic platform to offer mobile retailing services on their subscriber's handsets, creating new revenue sharing opportunities with content partners and third-party merchants. "The 2006 GSM Association Awards have been specifically designed to showcase the diversity of products and services and the quality, ingenuity and level of innovation that combine to fuel the mobile value chain," said Rob Conway, CEO of the GSM Association. "Entries this year have again exceeded our highest expectations, reflecting the vibrancy of the mobile industry on a global basis. My congratulations on your successful nomination for the 2006 Awards." "It is an honor to be nominated and recognized for creating exciting new products like Redknee's MCG that promise to exceed both customer and subscriber expectations," said Lucas Skoczkowski, CEO of Redknee. "This recognition continues to validate the focus and efforts by Redknee to understand customer needs. Our commitment to our customers is the reason why we are in business." The presentation of this award will be made during the 3GSM World Congress conference sessions on Wednesday, 15th February in Barcelona, Spain.
