Rural/Metro Corporation (Nasdaq: RURL), a leading provider of medical transportation and private fire protection services, announced today that it has been awarded a five-year contract in a competitive bidding process to continue providing airport firefighting services at England Industrial Airpark and Community in Alexandria, Louisiana. The contract is expected to generate estimated net revenue of $5 million over its five-year term. Jack Brucker, President and Chief Executive Officer, said, "We are very proud of our ability to provide high-quality airport and industrial firefighting services to our customers and look forward to continuing our record of service excellence at England Airpark." Rural/Metro has provided fire protection and emergency medical services to the Airpark community since 1995. Bryan Gibson, President of the Company's Specialty Fire Group, said, "We have established a longstanding partnership within the England Airpark community and are honored to have once again been chosen as their provider of fire protection and emergency medical services. Our employees who work and live in the area remain committed to the health and safety of the people who make England Airpark their home or business destination."
