Sault Ste. Marie Businesses and Residents to Benefit from Partnership Between PUC Telecom and Ontera22 September 2005
Sault Ste. Marie businesses and
residents will continue to have access to a new world of choices in high-speed
data networking. An innovative joint venture between PUC Telecom Inc. and
Ontera has been launched with the signing of a renewed partnership agreement,
which will see the two join forces to meet the needs of Sault Ste. Marie
businesses and consumers. This agreement builds on the success achieved by PUC
Telecom and the former O.N. Telcom, who have been formally working together
since 2000.
"We are extremely excited to partner with PUC Telecom as we work to Build
the New North," said Corina Moore, Vice President of Sales at Ontera. "We know
that, in order to compete, Northern Ontario businesses must have access to
high-speed communication networks. By providing them with this service, we're
supporting them as they build their businesses and create employment
opportunities within the North."
This new partnership will expand high speed data networking, through
fibre optic cables, to the area, which means access to such services as high
speed Internet, managed services and voice over IP.
