What might you do with info usually referred to as, stock "news"? The question to truly ask is, "What will I do with the stocks in my portfolio, regardless of the imminent 'news' which I am not currently privy to?"

The answer is (pick up your paper and pen again, please): Set targets and stop/losses. If a stock falls below your stop/loss, you sell. If a stock moves up to your target you sell.

There is no more to say. That's all. End of story. "News" can be of import to those who promote it as "authoritative". You have got to choose what you want to do despite what the news is, or discover a method to see into the future.

News may or may not press down upon a stock. We are convinced that end-of-day chart patterns warn of moves in front of news. Notwithstanding, if we turn out to be wrong we consistently argue for the employment of stop/losses. Stop/losses, in the same manner of "Justice", are blind to the circumstances that set them off.

And of course, that comes with, "news".
