Sun New Media Appoints Veteran Sales and Marketing Professional in Telecom Industry to Head Up NextPay Business

Sun New Media Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: SNMD), a Chinese Internet based marketing, information and transactional services company linking businesses with businesses, today announced that it has appointed Mr. George Huang to serve as the General Manager of its NextPay transactional business. Set to launch this March, NextPay is Sun New Media's proprietary transactional payment system that will enable consumers and small businesses to purchase goods via landline telephones, mobile phones or the Internet, using their personal bank cards.

Mr. Huang brings to Sun New Media over 14 years of sales and management experience in China's telecommunication and software industries. He has a proven track record of developing new business within the telecommunications sector and has worked extensively with China's telecommunication companies on both national and local levels.

Mr. Huang has held several leadership roles, including: Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing for PanPay Communication Service Technology Co., Ltd, where he spearheaded the development of a fixed-lined payment system with China UnionPay; Vice President of Borland (China) Co., the world's leading provider of technology for software applications; Sales Director of Nortel, where he was in charge of the China Mobile business; and Sales Manager for Hewlett Packard (China) Co., Ltd.
