Symmetricom Appoints John Yuzdepski as General Manager of Telecom Solutions Division13 June 2005
Symmetricom, Inc. (Nasdaq:SYMM - News), a worldwide leader in precise time and frequency products and services, today announced that Chief Marketing Officer John Yuzdepski has been named Executive Vice President and General Manager of the company's Telecom Solutions Division. He replaces Rick Stroupe, who will continue to be involved in business development opportunities and represent the company as a member of standards committees and special projects.
John Yuzdepski joined Symmetricom as Chief Marketing Officer in 2004 with twenty years of experience in the defense, telecommunications, and enterprise software markets. Previously, Mr. Yuzdepski was vice president of sales and marketing at Alloptic, a leading innovator in the Ethernet fiber optic access market in Livermore, CA, and vice president and general manager of Openwave Systems' Messaging Group in Redwood City, CA. He was also a vice president at Sprint Corporation where he led product management and development for Sprint PCS during its fastest growth phase. He has served on numerous telecommunication industry association initiatives including the board of directors of the WAP Forum and the Wireless Internet Caucus of the CTIA.
Rick Stroupe joined Symmetricom in 1987 and served in a number of sales and marketing positions prior to his position as General Manager of the Telecom Solutions Division. Among other responsibilities, he will continue to represent Symmetricom as a member of the board of the Alliance for Telecommunications Industry Solutions (ATIS), which is a U.S.-based organization that is committed to rapidly developing and promoting technical and operational standards for the telecommunications industry.
