Today, Siemens announces the launch of two cordless phones, and two mobile phones5 July 2005
Today, Siemens announces the launch of two cordless phones, and two mobile phones in Hamburg, Germany. Demonstrating Siemens commitment to delivering premium quality products to consumers, each of the four handsets offers ingenious engineering coupled with the innovative designs Siemens consumers have come to expect. Each communications product delivers against the needs of its specific consumer. For the family, the shock, dust and splash water-resistant Gigaset E450/E455 ( with answering machine ) is perfect for all situations of daily life, whilst the S75 provides the business users with a mobile office and music system in one. For those with a taste for luxury and high design, the slider SL75 mobile phone and the Gigaset SL550/SL555 are perfect for both home and on the move communication needs.
Siemens design process is at the heart of product development across both the cordless and mobile portfolio of handsets and devices. Classic and timeless designs epitomize Siemens approach, and nowhere are these more apparent than with the range of premium quality SL-class handsets. Both the Gigaset SL550 and the SL75 embody elegant luxury and design without compromising on a high level of technological features. In 1997 Siemens was the first manufacturer to introduce the slider form with the launch of the SL10. In 2003, Siemens rediscovered the slider design with the must have design accessory, the SL55. Its successor, the SL75 has evolved to include a ProSLIDE mechanism, ensuring even easier usability for consumers. Packed with every feature necessary for modern communication, the SL75 also boasts a 1.3 megapixel camera with integrated LED photolight and video function, a 262,144 color TFT display, MMS and even a media player for a range of music formats such as MP3 and ACC++.
Combining 150 years of heritage in communications and the engineering sector, Siemens continues to provide ingenious solutions for all modern communication needs. Providing a mobile office and music system in one, the new S75 provides the perfect handset solution for balancing work and life needs. Fully equipped with all solutions expected from a business mobile phone, consumers can keep connected with the office through the email, instant messaging and MMS functions. The appointments, tasks and contacts features also allow for practical organization of the working day. A high performance mobile music centre completes the package – music and videos can be downloaded or streamed directly through EDGE/GPRS networks allowing for ‘down-time’ during a stressful working day.
Design once again meets technology with the Gigaset SL550/SL555 from Siemens, by uniting modern cordless telephony with stylish elegance. Color display, polyphonic ringer melodies, SMS and much more – the SL-class cordless phones bring the convenience of a mobile phone to the living room, and are beautiful to behold as well. Telephone numbers, e-mail addresses and special celebrations such as birthdays are able to be readily accessed in the built-in telephone directory and are always to hand. Data synchronization is also possible when the Gigaset is simply attached to a PC via cable.
Supporting this commitment to delivering the best quality products to its consumers, Siemens debuts the Gigaset E450/E455. Shock, dust and splash water-resistant, these two robust cordless phones hold their own in all situations of daily life – even when tough demands are made on them. Especially suitable for families with children, people who spend a lot of time in the garden or do it yourself enthusiasts, all functions can be operated with ease using the illuminated keypad and the large color display.
