Versatel Networks Announces IQgateway -- Creates New Class of VoIP and LD Platform22 October 2005

With an entirely new form factor, IQgateway delivers an unrivalled value for Independents and CLECs.
IQgateway, featuring 8 or 16 T1 trunks, preserves existing investments in TDM switches and lowers operating costs significantly by adding IP trunking. With an exceptionally low total cost of ownership, the IQgateway allows service providers to take advantage of lower IP rates and start sending LD traffic to Voice over IP carriers, without a large capital budget.
The new IQgateway, built on Versatel's acclaimed EdgeIQ gateway platform technology coupled with a purpose-built expandable softswitch, IQroute, provides the easiest solution to deploy on the market. The IQgateway provides proven interoperability with both H.323 and SIP based termination carriers.
