World’s First Service Based Computing Model is Launched27 May 2005
H2M is reinventing the delivery of computing for both the end-user and the service provider - with Service Based Computing (SBC).
H2M provides consulting, outsourcing and strategy services. This release announces H2M’s completed design of the world’s first SBC model. SBC offers the simplicity of a telephone with full PC capability – it is compatible with many operating systems and is completely secure. This announcement begins the education of the market for SBC to replace the PC, laptop and thin-client.
Service Based Computing is a relatively new concept. “SBC delivers applications and data from a …computing platform… to simple end device… SBC puts the onus of managing the computing environment on the xSP”, quoted from Chris Shipley.
